2 for Tuesday Swimming

Tuesday we went to Trimble Hot Springs to catch their 2 for Tuesday deal; we went with the Klines and Palmers. Matt got to go with us (he did a system install on Monday in Moad and had 4+ hours of over time). My kids are little fish; it actually really surprises me. Benen wanted to take off and swim by himself - yeah not so much. Anna was actually doing pretty good. She is taking lessons in August and I am thinking she will do great. Here are some pictures of the fun:

Ready...

...blow...

...that was fun!

"Let Go!" - I can do this alone!

Godstop

Saturday (6/20) while jeeping our windshield wiper delay stopped working and then they would not go all the way down when you turned them off. It was raining pretty good so this was annoying. Will both Matt and I prayed that God would fix them and then when we go back on the highway they worked. Praise God for little answer prayers.

Family Day

Today we started out to go hiking up Spud Lake; but it was raining so we jeeped Old Lime Creek Road instead. Here are some pictures.

VBS Sports Camp

This last week Anna got to participate in a VBS Sports Camp. She had lots of fun and was totally worn out by Friday. She played soccer; will she kind of played soccer.

Enjoying worship. They also had bible stories and then were sent home with a devotional.

Kicking the ball.

Running.

Taking a break.

... or maybe I will do a roll.

Evening Thoughts on Parenting

Do you ever just get overwhelmed with love for your kids; to the point that you want to cry because that is just about the only way you can express your love for them. That seems to happen to me at the most unusual places and times. Like tonight. Anna is at sports camp and Matt is working out so it was just Benen and I. I am giving Benen a bath - the normal nightly routine around here; and this wave of love hits me. I know it has happened before and will happen again. I think it is a small glimpse of how much God loves us all the time every moment of everyday - during our routines. I can not even begin to understand His love for me. Oh about how a long to feel it more and more everyday; in my routine life. Lord keep drawling me closer to You; so that I can gain more and more understanding of Your love.

Benen's B-day Party

So Benen's B-day was on Sunday. We celebrated on Friday. We went to Three Springs Park for a picnic dinner, play time, and then they showed an out door movie.

Benen looking at his cupcake while we all sing. The wind kept blowing out the candles.

Benen going down the slide.

Anna on the spinning chair. That is how everyone looks when they get off.

Getting ready for the movie to start.

Still waiting for the movie.

Good Quote

"'Did God really say...' (Gen. 3:1) He used the spade of deceit to sow doubt. Satan, posing as the serpent couldn't keep Eve from believing in God so he did the next best thing. He baited her, tempting Eve not to believe God or trust His motives."

Some of Benen's Artwork

Benen likes to color and I think he does a pretty good job. He did this with no help.

Thankful Thursday - Benen turns 2

Today I am thankful that Benen turns 2 on Sunday.
I am thankful for the surprise that he was.
I am thankful that my pregnancy went fast:)
I am thankful that God kept him safe for the first 6 months that I did not know I was pregnant!
I am thankful for friends and family that helped with Anna before he was born and I was on bed rest.
I am thankful for a 4 hour delivery of a health little boy.
I am thankful for his little personality; he loves for things to be in order, and loves to fix things.
I am thankful for his laugh and the way he cracks himself up.
I am thankful that he loves baths.
I am so very thankful for the little boy that God entrusted to us to raise into a man of God.
I love you Benen Elijah Lee.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for
... bathrooms to clean
... beds and sheets to change.
... furniture to dust.
... dishes to clean every night and a dish washer to help clean.
... food to cook and a stove, grill, and refrigerator to put them in.
... clothes to wash and a washer and dryer to put them in.
Okay so this maybe an unusual Thankful Thursday; but I have been having a hard time staying motivated to keep up on the house work. God showed me this morning that all the cleaning is a way that I can bless my family. God has been showing me a lot late that I need to put them first in my priorities. So I am thankful for all this little ways I can bless them each day.

Good Quote

"Why 'above all' do we need to learn to use our shield of faith? Because the shield is the armor's armor. The ancient warrior hoped the fiery dart never reached the helmet or the breastplate. A direct hit on any of the other defensive covers could still stun and bruise even if it didn't wound. The warrior's goal was to extinguish any oncoming dart with his shield in order to diffuse all potential damage. When the warrior's shield was down, the other pieces of armor were vastly more vulnerable."
