And Then Came the Dresser

Today we let Anna paint her dresser. Now her desk and dresser match. Here is what it looks like.

Quote for Thought

Reading this really good book Believing God by Beth Moore. This Quote keeps sticking with me (among others, but you will get those later).

"... they believed in God... they simple didn't believe the God they believed in."

So I have been asking myself - Do I simply believe in God or do I Believe God? I want to Believe God.

Desk Painting

On Monday we let Anna paint flowers are her desk. I think it turned out really quiet... personally I think some one would even pay money to have costume furniture like this... but see for yourself.

... and what did Benen do? Will we took the handles off the desk to put new ones on after the paint dried and Benen walk around all morning with the screwer driver wanting to "Fix it?" it was too cute. So here he is fixing it.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am Thankful for...

- God's leading.

- Strength to step out were God is telling me to.

- Time with family and friends.

- My kids.

- A clean house.

- Matt willingness to help around the house.

Anna and the Dentist

So I took Anna to the dentist today to have her tooth the got knocked looked at. Anna is funny when she goes to the dentist. She wants to go back be herself and is much better when I am not with her so I sit in the waiting room while she goes and lets them do there thing. Her tooth is fine; but the Dentist said that if he did not know better he would guess she was 6 - she is getting her 6 year old molars (okay that explains some things) and she has two teeth that are starting to loosen. Okay; my daughter is at an advanced dental age - did not even really think about that being possible but it is.

Thankful Thursday

Wow it is Thursday; and May is almost over. Where did it all go? So what I am I thankful this week.

- Friends; they are great to have around.

- Children's Ministry Changes; I am excited to see what God does.

- To get to homeschool Anna next year.

- Homeschool curriculum; I do not have to figure it all out myself Praise the Lord!

- Matt; Monday I was not feeling good is he make decisions and took care of things - baths, dishes etc.

- My kids even though they test my nerves I love having them around and could not imagine life without them.

- For coffee

- For allergy medicine; my allergies are driving my crazy this week.

- For Dr. Pepper and Sonic Ice

Some Spring Fun

A couple weeks ago we went to the library and then to the park. It has been so nice the last few weeks is was great to get out and enjoy the weather.

Church Warning for Anna

So church can be an unsafe place... okay not really but my daughter did find a way to hurt herself there today. I guess it was really only a matter of time. When spend as much time there as we do. As I am typing this I am actually remembering that both me and my brother had our first major injuries at church; and by major I mean ending in a ER visit. That is were Anna's ended today.

We were getting ready to leave church and she trip into the stage stairs. She hit her lip pretty good. At first I thought it just scared her and that it hurt; then it starts bleeding and I take her to the bathroom to see a pretty good cut in her lip. Okay I think maybe we should take her to the ER. We load her up and off her go. Fortunately no stitches and it should heal just fine. She did bruise her gums and we need to have her tooth check out; but other then that and her fat lip she is fine.

Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for God's always moving hand. He provided some encouragement at just the right time, when I did not know I even needed it. He has been working behind the sense to bring someone into my life very unexpectedly and it has got me very excited to see what He does with it. It is a really cool story but I am waiting to share it so you will have to live in suspense.
