Thankful Thursday

I am thankful...

... that we got to go out as a family of four for $2 last night. We went to a restaurant opening and got dinner for free and then to Baskin Robins for 31 cent scoops (to support the firefighters) and got ice cream. ... that Matt was totally fine last week with the kids for 4 days by himself. He got them to the sitter, home, feed, bathed and in bed. Thank you for being such a trooper.

... for great friends that watch my kids and love on them.

... for FC Kids and the C3 Kids conference that gave me and the other River Guides lots of ideas for children's ministry.

... for the sun.

... for Anna.

... for Benen.

... for Matt.

... for our home.

... for chocolate, Dr. Pepper, crushed ice, and Coffee.

... for Matt's job.

... for the River Church and the blessing that it is to serve there.

... for pastors that do not let the enemy win.

... for my sister (Tammie) that leaves tomorrow to go to Uganda for 2 weeks... for the growth I have seen in her when she stepped out to do this... for the path that God is taking her on... and for the things God has already provided and is going to provide. Please keep her in your prayers. 

Rainy Day Chalk Art

With the yucky weather the kids were crazy so we got creative and had some sidewalk chalk fun on the living room floor. Yes I explained to them that they can not do this at home or without asking.

Morning Conversation

This morning Benen walks upstairs with no shirt. 

Anna: "Benen took his shirt off."

Mom: "Where's your shirt?" 

Benen: "Down stairs"

Mom: "Why did you take your shirt off?"

 Benen: "I want shirt off." 

Mom: "Should we put it back on." 

Benen: "I want leave it off." 

Just thought I would share that funny little conversation with you. He really did get it off. Here is the picture to prove it.

Thankful Thursday - Anna's Birthday

Today is Anna's 5th birthday.

I am thankful

... she was born health and happy.

... God made Matt and I parents before we had planned on being.

... I had a short delivery (6 hours).

... for my delivery nurse (she was awesome).

... my mom was their and that she was able to explain things to Matt and I could not. 

... we got to celebrate Anna's birthday Saturday with Kale and last night with our family. 

... Anna is a strong welled little girl - it is challenging but she will change the world for God some day.

... she understands what God has done for her and has excepted that.

... for her love for be artistic and crafty.

... she wants to do school work and loves to learn.

I am so very thankful for you my baby girl - I love you.

The kids enjoyed Burger King though - fortunately the poop did not destroy the day.

Kale was the friend that Anna wanted to hangout with.

Thankful Thursday

Today... 

... I am thankful for the little things.

... I am thankful for what God has called me to do.

... I am thankful to be a wife, mom, friend, daughter, and a sister.

... I am thankful to live in Colorado.

... I am thankful for the good times, the hard times, and the times in the middle - God is in all of them.

... I am thankful for my husband and my kids.

... I am thankful for my family - parents, siblings, and Grandparents.

... I am thankful for friends; old and new.

... I am thankful for God's talents and the gift of my unique creativity.

... I am thankful, I just am.

Benen: when asked if he is ready for a nap say no and then immediately fall asleep on the couch.

Anna: color a beautiful picture on her desk and say that she did it because she wanted to decorate it and she thought it would be okay.
