Wordless Wednesday - the Last Few Weekends

Last weekend we went "jeeping" up Smelter - it over looks Durango.

On the 3rd of July Bayfield had there 4th of July celebration - complete with parade and fireworks. Then we enjoyed Durango's 4th of July parade (Matt, Anna, and Benen all walked in the riverKIDS float) and after words we headed out to Vallecito to enjoy their fireworks.

Not your Normal Monday and My Man Rocks

So; I woke up this morning at about 6:45 am to Matt coming back in house after leaving (he never does that). Someone had broken into my car and taken some stuff. Not your usual start to the day. Matt rocks today because he took care of calling police and filling the report... I am very thankful he did that... not sure I could have handled it emotionally... I am on the edge of tears about everything right now. Thank you babe you rock and I love you and I am thankful they did not take the car or cause any damage to it.... they just took stuff and some cash we had in the hospital bag for Matt to eat at the hospital but it is all replaceable and no one is hurt.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for a number of things...
... that my husband found and made a big deal about getting running boards for our Attack Vehicle; it is getting harder to get in it.
... my belly going away; because that means this little one on the inside is getting bigger.
... sleep; enough said.
... friends.
... my kids.
... sun shine.
... a clean house; and for my husbands help to get it so clean.
... Anna's ability to clean so good - she cleans the bathroom counter everyday and she does a really good job.
... family.
... a really nice big Public Library.

Thankful Thursday

When I got on this morning a read my friend Jill's post about being thankful it was and is very challenging, so while a chew on it I will share what I am thankful for today - if you want to check it out you can go here: durangopalmers.blogspot.com.

Today I am thankful for...
... little things like my coffee cup.
... my precious little boy.
... a daughter that is almost 6, very independent, and so excited to get to dressed up and go to the Daddy Daughter Dance she can not contain herself.
... my tender caring husband.
... that Matt was able to trade one of his acoustic guitars for an electric guitar - every cool how God worked that out.
... running boards for our Attack Vehicle; and that Matt is super excited about getting them and putting them on.
... our Attack Vehicle - yep I still love it; gas guzzling and all.
... friends that are willing to take my kids on fire station tours.
... our house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - it is so nice to not share a bathroom with the kids.

The New Car AKA The Attack Vehicle

We just bought a "new" car. It is a 1996 Suburban. I love it and we got a really good deal on it. The cool thing is that I have been praying for a 7 to 8 passenger vehicle sense we had Anna; 5 almost 6 years later God gives us one.

It is even blue my favorite color.

Look at all the passenger room and it has leather seats.

The driver side.

The front.
