Wow God Wednesday

So our senior pastor's wife does a blog post called Memorial Box Monday... I have been toying with the thought of doing one for a while but keep thinking that I really have no memorable God stories to share... then last night God (nicely) kicked me and I realize that anything that God does in my life or anyway He has moved in my life is memorable so here is my version of Memorial Box Monday - Wow God Wednesday.

Some times - actually a lot of times - I am amazed at God's attention to details. Things like Benen loves Cars (the movie) and Lighten McQueen. Today at lunch Matt informs me that they have this cute little McQueen table and 2 chairs at his office that the boss is giving Benen. Benen loves it and it is really cool just the right size for him and perfect. God loves my 2 year old enough to give him the table, crazy but still amazing and a Wow God You are awesome and You care about even little blessings.

My Man Rocks

My man rocks because he spent most of his weekend stripping and sanding a dresser that I want to paint... I know that he would have rather spent his time playing on the computer or something like that... you rock babe and you look really hot using power tools:)

Am I the only one...

Am I the only mom that when requesting that their 5 year old child rests in their room has screamed at them... "Mommy I hate you, and you are not my mom anymore. I hate you. Mom I hate you."
I know that she was completely worked up and tried but I sit here on the brink of tears. I love her; and I have never heard her say things like that to anyone. I know this is the time to teach her what she is saying and to help point her to God... Lord give me wisdom and emotional strength. Thankfully Matt does not have practice tonight; I think I will get out and take a break.

...God's challenge to listen and obey.
...comfort food like Chicken and Dumplings.

My Man Rocks

Matt rocks because God gave him to me. I can not pin point anything in particular today but he is an awesome man of God and I could not have picked a better husband for me. I am so in love with him.

Animas View Overlook Field Trip

On Thursday the River Church Homeschooler had their first field trip; to Hike Animas View Overlook Trail. It is a group of about 12 families that homeschool form our church. Here are some pictures to enjoy. Anna had an assignment while we hiked - if you want to check it out go here.

Benen cruised ahead of us - he was a little man on a mission.

Labor Day Weekend (still catching up)

This Labor Day I helped out with the Ignacio Bike Week Rally and sold campsite at the camp ground. The kids had fun in the dirt and one of the security guards showed Anna how to rope and then gave her the rope she was really excited and actually was not to bad at it.

Building a Home?

I do not usually post twice in one day; but I think this justifies it. I have been hinting here and one face book about he possibility of us getting a new house. God always seems to start us down a path and then turn us on a blind corner. A couple months ago we looked in to buying a trainer on the mesa - did not work out for financing reasons. Then a few weeks ago we looked at renting a house on the mesa, and a few days after we turned in our application for that house my dad called to tell us about Colorado Housing Inc. They help build and finance houses in the area - they are kind of like Habitat but a little different. You build a house and help the other people that are building build there houses, it is a special loan and the payments are assessed. We were originally thinking that we start to build this house in the Spring of 2010, but we got a phone call this week and in looks like we are going to start this fall. The amount of our pre approval is more than enough to build and we are excited. It would be in Bayfield; but that is okay. Trust me I will post more as we start building and picking out colors and flooring and all that.

2009 River Run for Orphans (still catching up)

The River Church puts on a 5k Run (walk) to raise money for Orphans. This is the 2nd year they have done it and I decided to walk it. I was able to walk it in 46 minutes which is pretty good, for me.

Here are a couple pictures of the start.
