Pumpkin Decorating

Thursday Night we decorated the pumpkins we got last week at the Pumpkin Patch; Matt was a practice so the kids and I had some mom fun. I don't do the Halloween thing so we went to Wal-Mart and got some fun stickers to decorate the pumpkins with. We also cleaned out the seeds to toast; toasted pumpkin seeds are one of my favorites.

Rainy Day Chalk Art

With the yucky weather the kids were crazy so we got creative and had some sidewalk chalk fun on the living room floor. Yes I explained to them that they can not do this at home or without asking.

Hiking

Animas View Trail

A few days ago Matt and I started talking about actually getting out of the house and doing things as a family on the weekend; so we put actions to our words today and went for a hike and picnic lunch. It was fun and Benen actually walked part of the way. It was a short little 2/3 mile hike on a paved trail in the National Forest. It over looked the valley and is appropriately named Animas View Trail (it is located up above Lightner Creek). Anna had fun giving us directions and making sure we stayed on the right trail. There were these nice outlets along the way with bench or picnic tables; perfect for our lunch. Here are some pictures to enjoy.
