Wow God Wednesday - Laid Off

In December of last year my husband was laid off. Normally this would have been a fast and complete down ward spiral... but God is good and Matt just trusted. He was laid off on a Monday. He spent Tuesday writing and filing our resumes and applications. He had one resume left... he had been doing wholesale for 5 years and was really wanting out of it but felt he could not do anything else... he loves technology and was driving by a computer sales and servicing store in the area... he felt God's leading and turned in his last resume. Wednesday he got a phone call... they wanted to schedule him for an interview... they thought is was funny that he had turn in a resume because they wanted to hire some one but had not advertised for it yet. He went to the interview Thursday. Got a phone call Thursday night that he was hired and they wanted him to start Friday as in "tomorrow". So my amazing God gave my husband a job in 4 days; and it is a job that he loves... in fact he will probably make a life long career out of it. Another awesome thing is that we have 2 little ones and I did not even have to think about going to work and leaving them.

Wow God Wednesday - Benen

Today I want to share my little mans pregnancy story.

About this time 3 years ago Matt and I had prayed and decided to adopt. We had researched and filed out application and been accepted. We needed about 2,000 dollars to go any farther. We kept waiting and trusting God. We know that he wanted us to have more little ones.

I have to interject something here. We had been tr
ying to get pregnant for about 2 years and had a miscarriage but no luck in having in more kids. I really wrestled with God for months and months... I did not want our kids to be so fat apart they would not play with each other... I knew God had promised more kids... what was He up
too... Then in February...

We were doing a fundraiser at church for the youth and I was in charge. I was totally exhausted and had a really hurt back form the day. We went home and I set down to rest, after putting Anna down for her nap. As I was sitting I felt a baby k
ick me... "Okay that was weird I am not pregnant; or am I?" So I take a test and yes I am pregnant. Wait it gets better...

I call the doctor on Monday and she thinks that I am like 15 - 20 weeks. So we schedule the ultrasound and I am 23 weeks, yep I was 6 months pregnant. It was really fun to get to call people and say that I am pregnant and having a boy.
Most people ask how I could not know I was pregnant. I am not really sure... I kept just talking myself out of it... we had decided to adopt and my body
had not been normal for over a year. I really think; now, that God wanted this little boy to be a BIG surprise and he also know that Matt and I could not handle the constant worry of losing another one at the beginning of the pregnancy.

Wow God Wednesday

So our senior pastor's wife does a blog post called Memorial Box Monday... I have been toying with the thought of doing one for a while but keep thinking that I really have no memorable God stories to share... then last night God (nicely) kicked me and I realize that anything that God does in my life or anyway He has moved in my life is memorable so here is my version of Memorial Box Monday - Wow God Wednesday.

Some times - actually a lot of times - I am amazed at God's attention to details. Things like Benen loves Cars (the movie) and Lighten McQueen. Today at lunch Matt informs me that they have this cute little McQueen table and 2 chairs at his office that the boss is giving Benen. Benen loves it and it is really cool just the right size for him and perfect. God loves my 2 year old enough to give him the table, crazy but still amazing and a Wow God You are awesome and You care about even little blessings.
